LOCATION:
The property is situated in the historic Žemieji Šančiai district, stretching from A. Juozapavičius Avenue to the Nemunas River. This part of the city is known for its narrow streets, small wooden houses, and private gardens.

The area has a rich history — in 1879, the construction of a Category I military fortress began here. Within a decade, a full military town was established with barracks, officers’ residences, a hospital, workshops, and a bathhouse — in total, 365 buildings.

Most of these buildings have now been restored and transformed into residential apartments, including this one. The area also has a private school, police station, shops, and businesses. Some historic barracks remain abandoned, such as the building at A. Juozapavičius Ave. 19, where only the crumbling walls are left.
